Connecting Communities with Compassion

Caring For Those Experiencing Food Shortages

Caring for our community is our church’s jam! It's the mission of everyone who dreams of living in a healthy, loving community. Let’s team up, bringing our unique talents to the table. When our neighborhoods thrive, we all thrive!

Operation Turkey Box

Many families around us face the possibility of an empty table this holiday, but with your help, we can change that through Operation Turkey Box. This initiative provides a wholesome Thanksgiving meal to families experiencing food insecurity, filling their homes with warmth and love.

Every year Georgetown CRC works with kind people like you and our local schools to provide a Thanksgiving meal to those in our community facing hunger. Please consider coming alongside us by providing any of the non-perishable food items needed or by donating toward the purchase of the turkeys, potatoes, and incidentals.

Let's stand together so no child goes hungry this Thanksgiving! There are 169 families signed up to receive a meal!

Our Food Ministries

Currently, we have three sources of supporting for our neighbors:

In partnership with Feeding America West Michigan since 2007, Georgetown CRC is one of several Ottawa County locations providing supplemental groceries. Offered on the second Tuesday of every month, over 130 families partake in a grace filled food distribution here on our campus.

We also come alongside with local community champion Love Your Neighbor, providing a host site, financial support, and grocery pickup and distribution for their Budget class participants.

Jehovah Jireh is our go to resource for local families struggling with food shortages to whom we monthly donate food items for their pantry.

Are you or someone you know struggling with food insecurities? If so, know that we are here to help.

Campus Food Distributions

Offered on the second Tuesday of every month, we utilize an easy drive-thru method for distributing these free boxed food items - simply follow the car ahead of you! Registration begins at 5:30pm.

Provide financial help

Each food distribution costs $700 a month. Could you help off set this cost and be  a blessing to our community? Every amount, no matter the size, helps. Thank you!!
